Steven Tyler

Steven TylerAfter spending time in the Boston club circuit, under the guidance of their manager at first, Frank Connelly, the band began working together with New York managers Steve Leber and David Krebs. The band's debut album, which was titled "Eponymous" was released in the year 1973. They signed a record deal in the year 1972. The album was followed by Get Your Wings and Toys in the Attic and Rocks. This earned Aerosmith international recognition and fame. These albums produced famous songs like "Dream on", "Walk This Way" as well as "Sweet Emotion". Aerosmith's five first albums all were multi-platinum. Toys in the Attic and Rocks were also multi-platinum. As the decade progressed however, the band's hectic lifestyle of touring, recording and living together started wearing their bodies. Tyler and Perry were often referred to as Toxic Twins, for their legendary intake of stimulants and heroin. Their relationship is well documented in many of Aerosmith's videos as well as in Aerosmith Behind the Music. Tyler seemed to be more committed to Aerosmith and appeared to dislike Perry's passive attitude. Perry, however, liked Tyler's choices for women she dated. Aerosmith was at a low point in the 1980s due to tensions between Perry and Tyler.
