Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay fighter. She currently competes in the UFC Flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko, who is a former UFC Flyweight titleholder, and UFC friend of hers is her younger sister. Antonina Shevchenko began her combat sports journey by becoming an Muay Thai boxer. She debuted in the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko won the tournament and defeated Suzane Miller in the finals by a unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko took home an additional medal in the year 2007, a bronze in 2008, and a gold medal in 2011 and then was named in the position of IFMA Amateur World Muay Thai Champion in 2016. Antonia launched her professional career back in 2003. She has taken home numerous awards, such as the K-1 World Championships Lion Fight Lightweight Championships, and WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's final fight was with Isa Tidblad Keskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won by unanimous decision. Antonina Schevchenko broke her professional MMA records in 2002 when she faced Anara Bazanova during the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan. She went 3-0, after winning the second-round TKO. The following two fights were won at WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko was forced to take a time off from MMA and focused on her boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 with Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko beat Anissa with a unanimous win. She was able to defeat Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. In 2018, she left the tournament and started competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina used superior striking in order to TKO Nievera by knees to her body during the clinch. Following this victory, Antonina received a UFC deal. Antonina Shevchenko was able to make her UFC debut at TUF Heavy Hitters Finale, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi in a split-decision fight after winning the first fight via unanimity. Antonina was able to bounce back from her loss and beat Lucie Pudddilova at UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submissions in the 2nd round. The bout earned Antonina the Bonus Fight of the Night. Shevchenko was 2-2 during her subsequent three matches, winning against Ariane Lipski, while being defeated by Katlyn Clarkagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina is currently being lost to Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
