Colson Kelly (aka Machine Gun Kelly) is a rap musician with a distinct style. Baker was born in Houston in Texas on the 22nd of April of 1990. He was born into an German and English Scottish family. His parents, each missionaries took him on numerous trips throughout his childhood days. His father James Colson Baker struggled with depression and unemployment and the mother Sonia Alane left them when the age of nine. Baker's father moved along with him to Denver and lived with the aunt of his father. Baker was bullied by other kids in the neighborhood due to of the poverty he had. Baker began to listen to rap as a the sixth grade. Colson Baker, a.k.a in the form of Machine Gun Kelly, was born in Texas on April 22nd, 1990. He is best known for his hip-hop infused rock and contemporary alternative. Baker has released four mixtapes over the period from 2007 to 2010, prior to joining Bad Boy Records. The Cleveland rapper who penned lyrics at the pace that of a fast bullet saw an explosive rise when, in 2011, he made the switch from self-released mixtapes to established labels. The career of this Cleveland rapper rocketed when the release of his first mixtape late in 2011.
